The deep-sea fishing here off Fort Lauderdale has heated up with the weather this week. Yesterday (the 8th) JJ and I had a morning trip on the Lady Pamela II and we got into a bunch of vermilion snappers in 350 feet of water. These fish, weighing up to two lbs., were voracious, slamming the dead squid bait as soon as it got to depth. This afternoon we had another great fishing trip including landing a couple of blackfin tuna and king mackerel. The highlights of the day though were a brutish 40 lb bull mahi-mahi and a big hammerhead shark. The massive fillets off the mahi-mahi were more than enough dinner fare for our anglers, their friends, their relatives, even people on the street to take home!

Tight Lines,
