Sport Fishing September 15th, 2010

Today, Rob and Jim joined the Lady Pamela Fishing fleet from Wisconsin. Seas were a good 4 ft but fishing was great. We started our fishing trip trolling a nice blue edge with a steady north current in 80 – 140 ft of water. We landed an 8 lb Mutton Snapper and a few King Mackerel on the troll. At a shipwreck in 200 ft of water, we dropped a whole Bonito fish down and hooked a huge Amberjack fish. Rob and Jim, we look forward to fishing with you guys again!

Fort Lauderdale Deep Sea Fishing September 17th, 2010

Today, Emmit and his family came sport fishing aboard the Lady Pamela II with Richard and I. Fishing started extremely slow. We trolled seawitches and mullet strips for about an hour, and all we got was a 5lb Barracuda. After we expertly released the Barracuda fish, we got a big bite in 480 ft of water. Richard (the mate) backed the drag off on the reel as Jessica stepped up to the plate to fight the fish. Richard got the leader and shortly after, I saw the 30lb+ Wahoo fish. Jessica fought the fish all the way to the transom, I gaffed it and he went into the fish box. What a beautiful fish! We didn't let the grass grow under our feet; trolling gear went right back in the water. A few more Barracudas ate along with some tasty Blackfin Tuna and a couple of Bonito fish.

Another great day of fishing in Fort Lauderdale!

Tight Lines!
