We dodged another one. Lots of rain and fireworks but no real bad winds. Now that it has passed we are into the sports again.

The offshore scene has held up well while live baiting a mile or so outside the inlet. Mostly Kingfish and Bonitas. The Dolphin are further out and scattered. Most boats are staying closer due to the fuel budgets and leaving them alone. The bottom fishing was very active this past week as it can be after a storm passes. Mostly Yellowtail Snapper with a mix of small Grouper, Mutton Snapper, Mangrove Snapper and other colorful reef species. Most are too short to keep but a few might make it into the fridge if you get the right conditions. This pattern should remain the same for most of the warmer summer weeks we have left.

Remember every day is totally different. Luck plays a huge part in fishing, both on the days conditions and the fishes cooperation. If you feel lucky give it a try.
