Huli Cat went out to the Farallon Islands for 14 limits of rockfish and 4 lingcod off the Main Island. The bite was a little better from the get go, compared to yesterday. Great vermillions, coppers, brownies, quillbacks, yellowtail, olives, huge blues and a boccacio or two. Lots of ings that were about 1/2 inch short. For the saltwater newbies, albatross, tufted puffins, shearwaters, murres, white sided dolfins, whale breaches, a nature show on flat calm water with only a slight southerly drift. We lost several hitchhiker lingcod on the way up when folks pumped thier rods while trying to bring big fish to the surface. Remember, on big lingcod, don't pump the rod to try to gain line.
