Freshies Suggestions
Freshwater Fisherman that Fish Saltwater With Me!
As you know I am primarily a saltwater fisherman. However, I have learned so much about freshwater fishermen, fish, and their ways. Now, I'm not going to say, "I have tried all of these suggestions, because I have not!" However, I have shared them with other freshwater fishermen and they have been very impressed with the catching out come! So therefore don't take them lightly, because they truly are the "Real Workable Catching Deal!"
Some freshwater fishermen don't want me to mention their name, which is fine with me. I always think it's because they don't want others to know that they are handing out such good information. While talking to one of my customers the other fish day the subject of finding structure came up. He watched as I looked for this particular ledge to fish while using my fish finder and GPS. I just assumed all fishermen did the same. As we talked, I asked how do you find freshwater structure? He answered, "well we use a fish finder on most occasions, but not a GPS."
According to this fisherman they too, found it with the fish finder. Once locating the structure, they picked out a landmark on the bank so that they could locate it next time they fished. In my case, landmarks would be nice, but no dry land where I fish!"
