Fished the one day slam the weekend of the 10th of February. Fished off Lake worth pier and drifted North to the inlet. Quadruple header early in the morning broke one off and released 3. Sailfish ate all Kite baits with a mixed bag of threadfins, goggle eyes and tinker mackeral. Numerous Kingfish cut offs throughout the day due to the fact we were fishing straight mono. We deployed one down bait for the mixed bag division and decided to use a tinker mackeral with a stinger. Every 30 seconds drag would be screaming with a decent King on the end.

Caught two more Sailfish back to back by 1:00pm and had our deep bait again scream like no other. It was him for sure...... lose the fish and find out he bit through the stinger. No more than 15 seconds go by and there he is swimming on the surface behing the boat "50lb+ Wahoo" quick to react we rig another tinker with wire and stinger and cast in front of him...... He mozies on by and clips every single kite bait I had in the water.... Arghhhh..... Oh well strike 6, I'm out..... This weekend should be red hot with this cold push of air.... Catch em up'

Live Baiting is the Captain's forte. Actual fishing conditions and run of species will determine whether you will drift, slow troll, or anchor. A sea anchor is used to slow the drift and kites are used to entice the bite.
