It was international day aboard the Lady Pamela II as Justin and I took Santiago from Mexico City out fishing with some friends from Colombia. The fishing for bonitos and blackfin tunas was red hot with all our guests landing multiple fish. Justin was kept busy in the cockpit as most of the fish were caught on multiple hookups. All the action got Santiago primed to catch a big game shark so we baited up in 350 feet of water for about an hour to see what was shaking. We got one tap by a shark but the fish swam off.

There was no more luck with the sharks so we headed towards the barn at the end of the six hour trip. I was running the LP II by a big tanker anchored in 150 feet of water when we saw a big school of mahi-mahi. Justin pitched a few live baits and we hooked up a 34 lb'er and two 15 lb'ers. These fish put on a great aerial display, jumping and flipping all over the place. Nothing like a few extra fish on the way in to make a great trip!
