INSHORE - A lot of anglers were out of town for this week for turkey day including myself. But, I still got reports from the anglers that stayed home and fished. They reported a lot of good catches of sheepshead, croakers, sandperch and black drum from around the local bridges and along the channel edges. The fish were feeding on live shrimp. Still reports of redfish up around the Queen's Cove area and also around the Round Island area. Look for the snook around the Ft. Pierce Inlet and also along the docks in the Inlet. The best bite has been the first two hours of the out going tide. Try using a live shrimp, a pinfish or mullet. The catch and release trout action has been steady but most of the fish have been 2 pounds or under.
OFFSHORE - Everyone is looking for sailfish and the reports are coming in about the area to the south between the power plant and the St. Lucie Inlet and starting in 100 feet of water. Only a few reports of dolphin coming from 160 feet of water and they were taking a pink/white skirted ballyhoo. The kingfish bite has been steady inside of the Offshore Bar and a slow trolled live bait has been the way to go. The bottom fishing for snapper and grouper has been steady around the Bethel Shoals area on both live and but baits.
