Well this past week has been very simple, good weather near limits and limits of fish. Bad weather (mainly high winds) slow fishing. Sounds simple and sometimes it is. As guides my brother and I know that good weather most of the time means quality and quantity for us. We are on the water a lot and we know where the fish are. It can be frustrating at times when we are on such good fish then lovely mother nature ruins everything. But it is still called fishing and not catching. The bad weather can put a damper on the trout fishing, but we always have a plan B and sometimes a plan C. We have been able to catch other species. Traditionally this time of the year the fishing starts to peek. So if you get a chance get out there and catch some fish. We are still catching our fish with shrimp near shore lines from the causeway bridge up to Tx. City. I think in the next couple of weeks the croaker bite should really turn on. Until next time, see you on the water.
