Got out on a last min. trip today with a great return client from Huntsville, Tommy. We started out fishing pockets first with Jackall Squad Minnows(Tenn.Shad)and MC60SR(Ayu). Tommy had trouble at first letting the bait sit long enough but once he got the hang of it he started boating fish. The pockets did not hold alot of bigger fish but they did seem to hold the numbers. To be honest we were excited to find some clearer water and catch fish to keep warm.LOL After the bit slowed down a little we moved to some deeper water to work on his feel with the jig and Muscle 15+ crankbait. He boated a couple of other fish before the trip was done on both of those baits, targeting deeper grass lines and drops in 15-20 feet of water. We didn't have a huge fish today but all were solid keepers except one right at 15 inches. The water seems to be getting cleared up some but there is still some trash floating in the river so becareful out there. Hope everyone has a great week, see you on the water soon. oh, Tommy was camera shy so the only way he would agree to a pic was to block him out.LOL but atleast I got the pic.LOL
God Bless
