The lack of lots of dorados this year was expected as there was a lack of plankton in our waters and the flying fish(main food item for dorados)just were not here in the usual vast schools we see in a good year. The past 2 weeks have been as expected with few bills but a fabulous run of the big dorados; cows in the 30#'s and bulls(2 of them went 70#). These will be gone by the end of the month. By that time we are expecting the usual run of white marlins(not many) but the majority over (60#), the blue marlins, 200# up, the yellowfins 60# up and the wahoos 30# up. Nearshore the big King mackerels are here.

We usually leave dock at 6AM and troll for kings, spanish and cero mackerels and small atlantic bonitos, till it slows down, and then proceed for our specialty, offshore for the biggies. The charterer can choose to go directly to the offshore fishery if so wanted, no problem.
