We started off first thing in the morning setting lines in 80' of water and heading east at 5 knots looking for rips and weedlines or diving birds. After hitting 100' of water we deployed our dredge in hopes that this would be the added attraction needed to draw the fish to the baits. Shortly after doing so we had our first Dolphin hook up of the day with a nice cow being brought to the boat hitting a naked ballyhoo. We continued to work the 150' depth and working East to West ended us up in 200' where we looked back and had a 150-200 pound Blue Marlin up in our dredge going nuts. we quickly presented the largest ballyhoo we had aboard, however the fish refused to eat. We continued to work the area and raised a nice Wahoo in the 50-60 pound range. After the bite going quiet in deeper waters we proceeded shallower and when we hit 140' we had 2 Dolphin hook up almost simultaneously. We continued to work the area seeing a few free jumping Sails that would not eat and lots of Hammerhead sharks from 6-12' in length. We ended up the day with 3 Dolphin, 1 nice Wahoo and a Blue Marlin raised. Other charter boats in the area came in skunked or with 1 small fish.
