Friday (may 16) we found great crappie action in one of the few bays that had nice new weeds. The fish were scattered through out the bay on the shoreline wood and weedy pockets. Due to the strong winds we moved from anchor spot to anchor spot picking up fish at 1/2 the stops. Small jig and minnow under a bobber kept us just above the weeds or wood.

Saturday was good action on small walleye between in deeper water. Lots of fish in 21-24 fow with little structure. It was fun fishing cuz with the limited structure we didn't loose a jig all day and every tap was a fish. We did have strong winds for most of the day and we got driven off the lake a couple times by T-storms but the fish were there each time we went back out. Our other boat found larger but fewer walleye in more shallow water.

Strange weed growth this year because they still seem almost absent in some places that usually are full of both weeds and fish by this time of year.

Hopefully the weather will settle down a bit and start moving us to some more seasonal patterns and consistancy
