The weather broke last Monday and we had a high move through which gave us a nice window of weather to get out and have a snapper fish. Our down under snapper may be different to yours but I have seen similar fish in the USA. These snapper are one of our most sort after table fish. We fish the floater style of fishing for them This involves anchoring in around 35 fathoms and Floating down the baits in the light current . We fish 6kg tackle and boy when you get a bite you know .......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz is the noise as a big snapper hits with the power of a run away train.
We caught 35 fish and released 12 of those . A superb day to read more about this technique we use go to www.gamefishingcharters.com.au ...Look in Fishing Stories and Hints Hope you enjoy.
Yellowfin tuna are still being caught but the weather is keeping us in close . However the past two days are superb abd we are fishing the next four in a row ...hopefully will have some good tuna reports next week
