Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 11/3/07
For the most part this past week on the water was very rewarding. The bass were active they responded to several baits and most of the week my customers enjoyed good catches every day with one exception as Friday proved to be a challenge.
The week produced several good fish in the 5-pound range and numbers upwards to 20 or more. It appears that the cooler weather bunched the fish up; they hit top water baits most of the day, every day. Most of the week we fished from Waterfront to BB Comer Bridge finding fish in 5 to 10 feet of water along grass edges.
Our bait choices this week, we fished Punisher's Flame Spinner baits, rattle baits, top water baits, fluke and a big worm. The most productive proved to be top-water baits over grass edges. These cold nights should continue to group the fish and when you find some active fish you should be able to load the boat. I believe we will see real good activity throughout the first 3 weeks of November or at least until we get some real extreme cold nights.
There is some great late fall fishing left, come fish with me it's a great time of year!
