Four anglers spent the morning with Capt. Woody Gore catching trout, mackerel, snook, redfish and while we fished mackerel we boated 14 gag grouper. All were below the slot limit and released but several almost made table. The gags ranged from 18 to 21 1/2 inches and where taking free-lined greenbacks being fished for mackerel. Talk about a hoot on light tackle... try wrestling a 21 inch 9 - 10 lb gag up to the surface.
A thunderstorm moved in from St. Pete and we had to make a run for it to another area. Set up and started catching one snook after another and a couple of decent redfish and trout.
