WOW what a GREAT day of fishing aboard the Hooked Up today.
We started out getting Paul, Zac, Robby, Eric, Tim and Dustin all from Tampa Florida aboard and headed right to the reef.
We started out trolling the reef trying to get a few fish in the box. We set out 2 planner boards running about 45 to 50 feet down along with three baits skipping across the surface. Once again while our surface baits were not producing any fish our 2 planner rods were on fire and before we knew it we had a box full of bonitos along with a few nice king fish.
Ok skunk was now out of the box and it was time to go for the hail marry.
J.J. brought in all our trolling gear and set out a couple live baits and a couple shark baits.
THE TRAP WAS SET. All we needed now was for some big sea monster to come along and have a little bite. And that was just what happen. One of our big shark rods bent over line started screaming off the reel and we were HOOKED UP. Robby jumped in the chair and the fight was on.
It turned out to be a long back and forth tug a war for over 45 min but Robby hung in there and soon enough here was this giant Hammer Head Shark next to the boat. As it turned out Robby was not the only one that was tired because by the time we got the shark to the boat it was pretty beat also and this was great because J.J. and Greg opened the tuna door and just slid him in for a quick measurement in order to have a reply trophy made of Robby's great catch and to get a couple quick photos. Then we slid him right back into the water and watched in slowly swim away in good shape.
Guys thanks again for a great fun afternoon of fishing and we're looking forward to fishing you guys again soon.

June 30
Ok so it's the last day of June and we started out our day with grand dad Terry from Pembroke Pines Florida and his 2 grand sons Caden and Colby 5 and 8 from Texas.
We started out trolling the reef with 2 planner board running about 45 feet down a 3 surface baits skipping across the surface. While our surface baits were not producing any fish our two planners were on fire catching kingfish and bonitos one after another. Not sure how many kings and bonitos we caught but I can tell you it was a bunch.
After trolling we worked our way to a ship wreck and caught a couple of little bonitos and J.J. hooked those with triple hooks and set them right back out over the wreck.
Once our live bait was set out BAM the water exploded and we were Hooked Up.
After a 10 min fight up popped a big barracuda. Way to go guys.
Once we pulled back to the dock we had our afternoon trip eager to give their luck a shot aboard the Hooked Up
We had Steve, Kristy, Brittany, Bruce and les all from Indiana.
Once again we went right to trolling the reef and once again the kings were biting and so were the bonitos. We also managed to catch a black fin tuna and a couple of nice barracudas.
We decided to end the trip going for a sea monster. So J.J. brought in all our trolling gear and we set out a couple live baits along with a couple shark baits set down deep and last shark bait on the surface and that was the one that paid off for us.
All we seen was a big splash near our bait and the line took off like a freight train. Les jumped in the chair and the fight was on. It was a big back and forth tug a war for over 30 min but at last Les muscled his catch to the side of the boat. It turned being a big hammer head shark. WAY TO GO LES
We got a couple of quick pictures and watched him swim away in good shape.
To all of our anglers today thanks for a great day of fishing!!
