Fishing is very good right now and will only get better. Red fish are all over the back country bays and shorelines, target from Aripeka to Chassahowitzka around creeks and rocky shore lines, look for mullet school red fish love hanging around mullet so they can eat on the crabs, shrimp, and bait fish that the mullet stir up. Live bait and lures are working very good. For the live bait anglers pin fish, fresh cut mullet are my bait of choice right now. Lures to use are top water skitter walks SW08 in the white, mullet, trout, and chartreuse, the spook Jr's are another great lure the bone spook is by far the hottest top water lure in our area by anglers. Trout are making there way into the shallow grass flats and back country bays, top water lures that I mention above work great for trout and snook as well. Another lure that I have my clients fish with is my go is the mirr o lure 17mr in the 808 color. Sheepshead and black drum are in the back country bays live shrimp rigged with a 1/0 J hook is the way to go. Spanish mackerel and cobia are on the deeper rock piles in 8 to 30 feet live baits for the cobia and spoons for the macks will make for a fun fishing day.
