June and July's fishing was just as hot as the weather. The kingfish run has been spectacular and the bonitas almost always cooperate. Early starts are the key to a quick limit. Once the Local Knowledge 954 522 4773 gets their limit on kings we switch it up, we either go offshore for mahi mahi or we hit the wrecks for some great bottom fishing. The mahi mahi are here but a 6 or 8 hour trip is key to really find the green demons. Finding floating debris is key to this fishery. Baitfish hoard under the debris to try and hide from the predators below which include mahi mahi, skipjacks, wahoo and more. Once the mahi are found we switch to light spinning tackle to maximize the fun of these acrobatic gamesters. For big game it is hard to beat daytime swordfishing the bite is usually quick and the fish on average are bigger than those caught at night. Call 954 522 4773 about our mahi mahi/swordfish summer special.
