Well Jason's 60.3lb Dolphin could have been worth $60,000 next week for us in the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament. This is the biggest Dolphin caught on the Fishin' Days yet. We got lucky on Sunday and managed to get out early in the morning and beat the 20 knots of SW wind they were forecasting, at least until lunch time and then it started blowing. It was a great day of fishing, in addition to Jason's huge Dolphin, we caught 11 more Dolphin and 2 barracudas. We also lost a sailfish, that schooled Jason on the long rigger, all we got back was the seawitch and a hook.
I am heading to Morehead City on Thursday with the boat for a weekend of charter fishing, and then the Big Rock start on Monday for us. I am going to try and post daily fishing reports on the website during the tournament, so check in there to see how we are doing.
