Destin Florida, Ft. Walton Beach, Navarre, Gulf Breeze, Pensacola Beach, Perdido Key Florida inshore anglers fishing report.
January fishing can be cold, also very productive if you can find time to get out. I'm catching lots of Red Fish sight fishing for them on the beach and very large schools of False Albacore out a couple of miles off the beach, this is what Fly-Fishermen live for. You just wouldn't believe the quality of Red Snapper on the structure in 45 to 65 foot of water. Trigger Fish, Amberjack, Mangrove Snapper, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Lane Snapper, Sheepshead and of course we caught lots of Red Snapper on last Sunday's trip.
If the Gulf won't let you get out, then head to the canals in the sound and around the bay, lots of smaller Speckled Trout and Slot to small Reds are holding there. Up in the river's, fish are in there winter time pattern, Deep and slow.
I heard the Groundhog saw his shadow last Monday, six more week of winter, ah what's a fisherman to do, dress warm and come see me, I'll put you on some fish!!!!!!!
Four-fifths of the earth's surface is covered with water, but only five percent of that water holds 95 percent of the fish. (That's why you need me)
I know one thing for sure - You ain't going to catch'em sittin' on the couch!!
So get out there, take a kid fishing and have a Blessed Day!
