We spotted fish busting finger mullet running down the marsh line. It didn't take long to figure out that these fish were Speckled Trout and there were some nice ones in the mix.
Though we never caught the gator trout we were looking for, we did catch about a half dozen nice specks in the 15-16" range. In addition, Brett got an inshore slam with a small flounder, speckled trout and Redfish.
Brett did really well on the reds with a gulp pogy fished on a jighead. He caught about a half dozen small reds and two overslot fish. One was 28.5" and 8lbs while the other was a 30" fish that weighed 10.5lbs.
It was a great day on the water and fall fishing is really starting to crank up.
