Inshore, the Flounder bite is getting really good with some nice fish being caught. Redfish are biting well on live baits around docks and other structure as well as on artificial lures in the waterway and creeks.

Saturday I had a cancellation due to the 20+ knot winds. Sunday I fished with Dean Brant for a morning of inshore, fishing in the rain. I started out right off the bat with a nice 29-inch, 8lb redfish. Dean spent over an hour hook up with something, probably a big ray before the hook pulled. The rest of the morning we caught 3 Flounder, another 6lb, 26-inch redfish, 1 Black Drum, Sea Robbin, Lizzard fish and an oyster or two. All of today's fish were caught either on a jig tipped with fishbites or a gulp shrimp fished on a Falcon Lure weighted hook.

I will be heading back offshore this week, so check in for the reports.

Tight lines, Capt. Brent
