Charters caught limit after limit of walleye over the weekend even as the temperatures climbs and the wind died! We took a limit of walleyes Friday on a nice slow drift using weight-forward spinners and crawler harnesses behind inline weights. Hot colors of the day were gold and chartreuse. Hammered gold #4 spinners were easily the best taking walleye suspended from about 10 to 20 feet in about 30 feet of water about 5 miles NE of the B can on the Camp Perry firing range.

Sunday, the winds died and most charters had to go to trolling to complete limits. But, limits were still faily easy using harnesses or flutter spoons behind jet and dipsy divers.

Hot trolling colors seemd to be oranges, reds and coppers.

The bite doen't snow any signs of slowing. but fishermen need to be mindful of fish movement and stay with the schools. The traditional move toward the Ohio shoreline should begin soon and the "run" to the schools should drop through the first part of July.
