Sabine Lake fishing is GREAT. We are fishing the North end of Sabine Lake, East Pass to Coffee Ground Cove. We are keying on mullet and shrimp. Birds are working over schools of trout and red fish, with the high tides. Also, we are fishing Bessie Height marshes for speckled trout and red fish. We are fishing the cuts and the points on the Neches River. The rains have also pushed nice speckled trout to the Louisiana shore line, keying on mullet. Bigger fish are feeding on flats of 2 to 3ft water, fishing over mussel flats and deep drops to 4 ft, right on the bank. Flounder fishing is also picking up. Nice flounder to 4 lbs have been on the deep drops. Sabine Pass Channel is holding good numbers of trout fishing in the early morning. Top water then going to plastics, incoming tides best for my bite. Sabine Pass Jetties fishing is great. Speckled Trout to 5 lbs, fishing the rocks with very light 1/8 jigs glow/chart best color. The beach front fishing is good with nice speckled trout showing up early morning keying on mullet. Short Rigs east and west holding good numbers of trout also. Best Baits: New Stanley Sidewinder Glow/chart/Lsu Browns Devils Eye/Down South Lures. Fishbites Xtream Scent 5" Jerk Bait. Tipping Each Bait with fish bite shrimp and Terrys Rod N Reel Sonar B Dogs Spoons.
Good Fishing.
