Greg and Kevin joined us for a float trip down the bow today. We floated from policeman flats to McKinnon flats. Both Greg and Kevin had floated the bow before but this was their first time floating with us and they had an absolutely remarkable day. From the start of the day to the end of the day- the guys hooked fish all day. We had one run where they had four consecutive double headers and each time they had a double header I'd row up and we'd do it again. It got to a point where on the fifth time through, when they only hooked one fish, I said they had lost their right to do it again so we kept moving on after a few laps. This was not an average day on the bow- this was an absolutely amazing day. The boys hooked one fish after another. We didn't see a ton of fish on the surface during the day but in the evening we started fishing dries and got a bunch of nice eats. We hooked fish on the surface; we hooked and landed a ton of fish nymphing. At the end of the day we started pulling into banks and searching for snouts. I walked a few banks and found some really big fish feeding that we weren't able to get eats out of but we started fishing stone fly dry from the boat and in the last hour we had eight different eats all from big fish come up and eat the stone. We hooked fish directly across from the boat launch and came into the boat launch with a fish on. It's pretty tough to finish a day any better than that and it's nice that the end of the day was just as productive as the rest of the day had been for these guys. They hooked a lot of fish and had an amazing day.
