Saludos From the Island of Enchantment. Full Summer Master Blaster and Jamming.
The heat is on and the Sea conditions have allowed for really nice fishing days. There have been a few tropical waves in the area producing heavier winds and some rain, but over all conditions have enable us to spend plenty of time in the trench rather than fishing the Caribbean side.
The bite has been mixed bag. Nice size Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, King Mackerels, Black fin tunas, yellow fins and of course the mighty Barracudas.
One memorable battle which we lost after a 45 minute fight. Hooked with yellow fin in the triple digits. During the gaff tine and combined with a under the boat rudder tangle. bye bye fish.
The billfish bite has been slow on the northeast of the PR trench. This season we have seen two fish with no hook ups. Lets see what the July moon brings.
Also the Blue Marlin tournament starts in July, few tournament lined up.
Tight Lines and till next bite
