Happy Fourth of July
The June Moon Report
The Bill fish action on the north eastern part of the trench was not that active although of some boats from the San Juan Area had a few bites and releases.
For us the action was with bird piles of Black fin and yellow fin tunas. most tunas in the football size and some in the 100# + range. we had a yellow fin for two hours hooked up on a fifty pound tackle and the 100# leader gave up with 40 yards to go. the fish almost emptied the spool three times.
Nice size Wahoo are patrolling the edge and on the shallows the king Mackerel and cudas always make the reels scream.
The full moon of July 12 will make the difference and there are also a few tournament of blue Marlin on Schedule.
till next bite
