Mid February and it feels like summer. yes we are still receiving fronts but, the cool weather does not linger for long. Many natives are wondering what is to come for summer, hot, hot, hot.

Inshore has produced great snook action in palm beach and Jupiter. Targeting seawalls and docks snook are plentiful and low tide offers stellar sight fishing. Snook are ranging in size from 2 to 15 pounds, willing to take live baits, artificial and flies. Deeper holes snook can be found schooling up, jigs worked on the bottom gets these lunkers excited.

The mighty tarpon are active at sunrise and dusk near channels. Live baits and top water plugs entice the silver king to play. Look for fish rolling on the surface and cast to that vicinity. Outgoing tide best bite for tarpon as water becomes stained, use 25 to 30 pound fluorocarbon leader creating more bites.

Trout fishing on the flats and deeper holes producing fish from 2 to 5 pounds. Live baits under a cork or a green bass assassin worked near the bottom puts a bend in the rod. Smaller trout are schooled up creating consistent action, bigger trout are loaners keeping distance from schoolie fish.

Jacks, monster jacks can be seen cruising the seawalls and docks in palm beach and Jupiter early morning. These fish are aggressive, and cause aches and pains do to there brute strength. The jacks are ranging from 1 to 30 pounds. if you have some one your mad at, hook them up with a big jack and watch the show with a grin.

Well that is the fishing report for the past week hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can't catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight lines! Capt. Craig korczynski, phlatsinshorefishing.com, 5616444371
