"Happy thanksgiving" to all and all a safe holiday. Season has kicked into gear, but the weather has been tough for boaters. Hopefully in the near future we can enjoy a day on the water with out small craft advisories.
Snook fishing in the rivers and bays has produced great numbers of snook. Live baiting provide non stop action, artificial enthusiasts can work a top water plug or twitch bait for explosive action. Deep holes and channels are holding schooling snook, working the area thoroughly. the big girls are next cast could be the one.
Tarpon very active at low light hours, outgoing tides has produced the best fishing for anglers. Live baits drifted with the tide puts a bend in the rod. Rolling fish in the area help pin point were fish are located, use jigs in deeper holes and channels to provoke bigger fish to strike.
Docks, seawlls, and grass flats are producing a mixed bag of species. Drum, trout, jacks, bluefish and ladyfish are prevalent and willing to take live shrimp, greenies, jigs and small lures. The fishing is better when tides flooding, out going tide is best the first two hours. Look for clean water and bait and the fish will be there.
