Sal Mattino

This report starts off with less than ideal weather & sea conditions. We have an annoying south east wind with seas in the three to five foot range. Waves are close togther enough to keep you slamming side to side.

Bait was diffucult to come by on this day, searching the area for any signs of life! After a while we managed to put about two dozen live baits in the well. While catching bait, my long time fishing partner decided to toss a live one over the side to see if there was any action amoung the schools of bait fish.

Not in the water five seconds, screaming slammer took off with a few hundred feet of line. After three runs from the boat we were able to gaff a nice 25.5 pounder, measuring 48 inches in length.

Caught & released another four Kings in the nine to eleven pound range. Also caught was a quality Lemon Shark in the 25-30 pound range. That's my report for St. Lucie Sportfishing Charters, I am Capt.Sal,smooth sailing, safe boating & keep fishing!
