We fished with a group of about 30 guys on 6 boats today for a half-day charter. The guys had a small wager between the boats for the most fish. The bait was tough to find so we were the only boat that decided to buy some pilchards from Frank from Ashley baitboat and it made all the difference. We started in 110ft. and immediatley hooked up with kingfish. We usually fish five lines,2 on top,2 at mid-depth, and one on the bottom. We never were able to get more than 2 lines in at a time. Action was solid the whole trip. Final tally for today was 16 kings up to 25lbs.,14 bonitos and an 8lb. rainbow runner.Yeah we won the wager and our guys let us keep the winnings. Nice! they also left us all the fish. it was a great day with hopefully another tomorrow as we'll be out again. The charter gods are looking out for us! Check us out @ decktechsportfishing.com. Tight Lines!
