Today was Ron from Idaho's second day of fishing with me. I asked Ron instead of hiking into the White Salmon canyon if he would like to go fishing for White fish on the Klickitat, he said that sounds like fun so we slipped the boat in upstream and floated back to our home base. The Klickitat river is open December 1st through March for White Fish only, you must use a single size 14 hook or smaller. In the event you hook a Steelhead it must be released as it is not open to keep Steelhead. Sure is nice to have such a healthy river.
