With the tide low all morning, I decided to pick up my clients around 2:00 p.m.. Heading out, there were hundreds of boats do to the holiday weekend.I knew fishing was going to be tough. We headed north to get away from the yahoos to look for some areas that might hold a redfish or two. With the tide due high in a couple of hours, we found some oyster bars that were located in the middle of a flat on a medium incomming tide. The oyster bar was a feeding station on that specific tide before it got high enough for them to push up to the shoreline. I started to chum the area with live sardines to see if we could get some kind of action going, sure enough the chum got blasted on the surface! I then immediatly cast my clients line then reached into the bait well to get more chum to keep them going.I looked back and both rods were bent over, SWEET! We ended up boating 12 redfish all mid to upper slot fish, not bad for the conditons we had.
