Hit the lake before dawn at Galts Ferry, caught bait out in open water. Headed north towards Stamp creek and encountered a major scool of fish running shad up on an island. Broke out the downrods and went to work on those bad boys. Caught many stripes and hybrids and some good spotted bass mixed in. Threw the sammy in the boils and caught a few good hybrids on light spinning gear, (my favorite).

Warm air temps coupled with a low fog/overcast kept these fish active much of the morning. Headed back north towards ramp, just south of Galts and repeated the above scenerio again. Look for those breaking fish is all I can tell you guys. Definately freeline time as well. The fish was all over them but the downrod is king. Good Luck, Cap'n Fred
