Line side fishing is fair and the fishing this week has slowed down a little due to rising water. The lake is 4 feet above full pool and trash is everywhere. Pulling planner boards and free lines is almost impossible right now. Your best bet right now is fishing down lines and cut bait. Look for the lake to clear up fast as the water starts moving again. The shad spawn is in full swing. Look for fish to start busting top water soon. The fish are starting to come back down out of the rivers, and are starting to group up, and should start to feed. There are fish from the mouth of the Etowah River to as far south as Allatoona Creek. All of the major creeks have fish in them this week. If you find the bait you'll find stripers and hybrids nearby. Fish flat lines in the morning and afternoon and down lines at midday. Trolling is fair with the Mack Farr 3 arm umbrella rig producing. Jig color doesn't seem to matter, but speed is a factor. The best speed has been between 3.3 to3.5 miles per hour. Remember the month of May is one of the best months for line-side fishing. We still have a few days open this month and we're offering family trips starting at $250.00.
