Line side fishing is really starting to IMPROVE. The fish are really starting to bunch up right now. We are marking schools with 100's of fish in them. And the best parts about these schools are they are eating. Sept 26 I had a day off and decided to go do a little FUN fishing myself. My buddy Mike Bucca called me and told me about this BIG school of Hybrids that he was on. Needless to say I pull up my trolling motor and ran to where my buddy was. And man am I glad I did this school was HUGH 1000 fish easy. I fish along side Mike for about and hour. Trolling, casting and jigging spooning. And I boat over 20 fish with 3 over 15 lbs. (Thanks Mike). Fishing right now can be GREAT if you're in the right place at the right time. But remember it is just as easy to ZERO right now on Lake Allatoona if your not on these schools. And Trolling may be the best all round bite going right now. Mack Farr u-rigs seem to be the ticket for the trollers right now. The Top Water bite has slowed down a lot. But keep a Jr. Spook ready just in case they pop up. The south end of the lake has been best for top water action the best place right now. If you really enjoy talking striper fishing. The Lake Allatoona Guide Association is a small group of full-time professional guides ( Robert Eidson, First Bite, Mike Bucca and Fred Duncan ) that work Lake Allatoona, year-round for Striped Bass, Hybrid Striped Bass, Largemouth and Spotted Bass. Their main goal is to educate the public not only of our fishery but also as perspective clients. In recent years, there have been a proliferation of individuals masquerading as "Fishing Guides" on Lake Allatoona; moonlighting from their regular employment in an effort to make quick money. These individuals neither care about the quality of their product or repeat patronage of the client. Most are just interested in making a boat payment for the month…
