JACKSON LAKE IS .DOWN 5.8 FEET, STAINED & 53 DEGREES

Bass fishing is fair. This lake has a number of stumps in it and these old stumps are winter bass hideouts. With the lake down some, these stumps just inches under the water. Work the south lake early from the mouth of the Tussahaw Creek to the dam. After lunch, head up lake to the South River and get out the big crank baits and the big jigs. You should find cranking the Bill Norman DD22 shad and pearl crank baits and one ounce all black or all brown jigs. Get out the heavy line too. Also mid lake the number five and seven Shad Raps along with DT10's are working this week. Stay in the channel and crank the ledges and you go along. The bass will be holding to the cover as expected with the low water. A limit of bass should be easy enough to get. Worm fishing should be good if the rain hasn't colored the water too much.
