LAKE RAY ROBERTS FISHING REPORT

Lake Ray Roberts is about 1.02 feet above normal level with water temperatures 68 to 76 degrees.White bass fishing is very good. The fish are on shallow points early in the morning and there is usually some birds on them. Best way to catch a bunch of fish is to go deep and jig for them in 25 to 35 feet of water. We have caught fish from 2 feet deep to 38 feet deep this week but the best for numbers of fish is 30 to 35 feet deep. Most of our fishing has been from Isle du Bois State Park to the mouth of Indian Creek. Humps, points, roads and ridges are all producing fish. You can catch them on rattle traps or crank baits under the birds but most of the fish this week have been taken on Cotton Cordell 3/4 oz. CC Spoons in chrome color with a Flies-By-Night chartreuse fly tied 14 inches above the spoon is what we are using to catch them with. Finding feeding fish has been really easy the last 2 weeks seems like they are biting everywhere. We are catching lots of doubles these days adding up to big numbers of fish every trip.

Have fun fishing,

Tim
