Lake Ray Roberts White Bass Fishing Report
Lake Ray Roberts is 1/2 a foot below normal level and water temperature is 69 to 73 degrees. Sand bass fishing is excellent and we are catching lots of fish every trip and getting limits of keepers every trip. We are fishing on both arms of the lake on humps, points, roads and ridges. Finding fish that are on the feed has really been pretty easy the last couple weeks and in the cooler water the fish are not moving as much so we are able to sit on top of biting fish longer now. This week birds started working the lake after the cold front and can make finding some feeding fish easy some days. Most trips we are catching a few catfish while sand bass fishing even though we are not targeting these, the catfish will bite the same lures we use for sand bass. We are catching all our fish on a Cotton Cordell CC Spoon 3/4 oz. chrome color with a Flies-By-Night chartreuse fly tied 14 inches above the spoon for doubles. Best depth is 25 to 35 feet deep lately. Email or call me if you want to get on my calendar to take advantage of the excellent fall fishing we have on Lake Ray Roberts.
Have fun fishing,
Tim
