uesday morning the air temps were in the high 30's and the water temp

was 58.6 at first light. My client Richard from VA had decided to do a

little shiner fishing along with artifical's.Started the morning with shiners

fished in scattered hydrilla in 7 to 9 ft of water off a main lake point.

Four fish were in the boat with in several minutes. After a couple misses

and the sun coming up we headed to check some beds in hopes of finding

a couple big fish and catching them on artificals.Just as I figured every

bed was bare and not a fish to be seen.We headed to a couple other areas

to try artificial's and not a bite.With 1HR 45 minutes to go

on this 6 HR trip we headed back to our starting spot with shiners and

it turned out to be the right move as Richard caught 5 more fish up to

6 pounds. With the weather forecast calling for 79 degrees the next 5 days

I think the big fish will push to the shallow water on Toho by the weeks end.
