Trolling crankbaits was the go-to technique for us today. The bite started out a little slow in the early morning but picked up by mid-morning and never really stopped till we left in the late afternoon.
We didn't get any monster walleyes today just a bunch in the 17" to 24" range. Nancy did land her personal best sauger to date. A very nice 23-1/4 incher that would have easily went 5lbs if she were still full of spawn.
We also caught seven fish in the keeper size range (between 15 & 20" long) which has been hard to get the last few outings. Almost everything caught recently has been to big to keep. Always nice to take a few home to share with friends & family at the dinner table.
