The morning started ominous with dark clouds, high water and a stiff wind, not good conditions for hunting bonefish and permit on the flats. In spite of this, Tom and Cal hung tough and in good spirits. Tom had a couple of shots on fly at a cruising permit but to takes. Later Cal had a couple of shots at a fun baby tarpon but no hook ups. A few shots at a couple of bones resulted in zero. Fourth quarter and two minutes left in the game and we decided to change tactics. A few minutes before we had to head in one of the rods doubles over and the reel starts to scream. Several long bonefish runs later, Cal holds his first ever bonefish, a big 10 pounder. Yep, he's spoiled now. Congrats Cal!
