The month of August proved to be challenging for Crappie. The first part of the month we were dealing with drought conditions, low water levels and high water temperatures. The later part of the month conditions changed slightly with storm Lee. We recieved plenty of rain but the water temperature continued to be high. As a result the best effort was using jigs and shooting docks to produce a good number of Crappie. Waiting for the temperature to drop to see if I can find more fish. For the Fall fishing season we will need weather to be in the 70's and that will produce more Crappie. Hopefully we will have an awsome Fall as we did last year.
