We started the day believing we were going to take a charter out.....but.........got stiffed by a no show.

In order to salvage the day I waited for my mate Matt to get out of Soccer practice. We were underway at 900AM. Made it a day for Mate and I to relax.

This was a one stop day my brothers, hit the green side of the Sandy Hook channel at the top of the tide and the beginning of the outgoing. First drift three keepers, 1 short. Then it was pretty much 3-5 fish every drift after that.

Total kept 16 fish 17 1/2 to 22", 9 throw back, three Robbins. We were done at 1145 AM, 2 hrs and 15 minutes of fishing.

We then packed it in and drove arounds enjoying the day and each others company.

Berkley 4" swimming Minnow and Kellie combo was the only bait of the day, we killed them.

Good things do come to those who wait.
