12/10/06 I had Jared Okerson with friends kevin and Brian from the New Egypt area out today for a brisk striper bite where the guys had about 20 stripers between them but we just could not get a keeper. All the guys stated that they caught more stripers today then all year and had a great time doing so.One more trip on thursday with my brother Ryan and Capt. Melanie Boytos and that will be it for the year,After that the Reel Fantasea will be high and dry till the winter flounders start stiring in the mud .

12/8/06 Man was it ever cold out today it had me longing for those flipflop and T-shirt days of summer. If ever there was a sure thing in the saltwater fishing scene is that in Decemember when we get an extreme cold snap and a hard WNW wind like we are experiencing right now go up to the beach and ever so slowly scan the horizon and you will be amazed at what is going on just 2-3 miles off the beach[you will need a good pair of binoculars]

Bird play that stretches for miles and miles and today was no exception with what looked like a white out blizzard taking place just a scant few miles off of surf city. Although I would have loved to go, in this extreme weather we are having right now just would not be very smart.Oh well it is suppose to warm up,and I can't wait!!! 12/7/06 I got a chance to get out today with my" little" bro Ryan and good friend Capt. Mel Boytos aboard for a decent day of striper fishing catching 40ish bass on a combonation of artificials and spot.We started inside and moved outside for a look for some larger fish .Well we did find bass outside but they were of the micro size,so after a little looking around we headed back inside to finish the day inside catching some better fish.We still didn't manage a keeper but we were close a few times and had agreat time trying!

12/3/06 After being blown out for a friday trip I had regular Jay Simmons with Ernie Rosenberg and new comer Scott Kindness for some fast and furiuos striper action in the inlet, only a stones throw from the dock. After boating bass after bass with the largest going 33" we haeded out to the blackfishing grounds to have a constant pick of fish from shorts to 5lbs.We then headed back to the inlet where we boated a few more stripers to end a great day.The weather was perfect and the fish cooperated what more could you want for late fall.

12/1/06 Inspite of some nasty weather [rain and hard Sw 30kts+ winds] I had some time this morning to fish by myself and was rewarded with a decent bass bite with smallish stripers. The bass bit in all spots in the backbay on artificials.I fished for approximately 1 1/2 hours boating 6 bass, not bad for a day that the conditions were so poor.
