Today's trip with Ivan Robertson and his buddy Ray from Cadillac Michigan started out pretty slow. We were catching fish, but the majority of them were on the small side. We were trolling Walleye's Choice harnesses at the north end in a variety of colors. Most fish were coming on purple. We only had 4 keepers with an hour to go in our trip, so we made a move to some shallower water where the wind was blowing in and we landed 8 more keepers and several throwbacks in the last hour. It was pretty busy for a while, and lots of fun. The strong wind made trolling difficult, so we drifted with floating jig heads tipped with a small piece of night crawler. Red was by far the best color floater, with chartreuse/orange doing well too. The largest fish today was only 21 inches, but a nice bunch of "eaters" for the guys had them happy. I kept a couple fish today as well for our family cookout on Father's day. Here's a picture and video of today's catch, good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
