From May 16-21 the weather has done the full gammett. We have had N, NE, E, and SE winds from 0-25 mph. On the very light east breezes about a week ago, TARPON and BIG JACK CREVALLE were available for sight fishing right off the beach North of S. Padre Island. Wow!!! It only happened for a couple of days and then the winds did their deeds and that was over in a flash. Should have been here yesterday was never more appropriate. In the bay, there are fish to catch but with very high spring tides, clouds, and wind, it has not been for the novices. Drift fishing in 2-4 ft. of water over the grass flats has been very good. Early morning top water action has been exciting.

Tightlines,

Capt. Jim Blackburn
