South of Ponce Inlet 7-10 miles within 1/2 mile from shore rays have been reported with very few cobia on them, but if you find the right one laying on the surface he should have 5 or 6 cobes with him. One ray will have none, find one just down the beach, and he'll have them all over him! Recent reports I've heard today are from 2 fellow fishing guides that work out of Ponce. Yesterday, 2 were caught by Captain Fred Robert off the same ray as other one's were seen jumping out of the water.

Bull redfish are also being caught inside the inlet with a 38 pounder yesterday while filming a t.v. show with Captain Wayne Sommers. A live pogie or pinfish has been the bait of choice.

Fishing is definantly heating up on the east central Florida coast, so book now for some nearshore action!!
