Lake Okeechbee bass fishing is very good, we are catching good numbers of bass on shiners, but even better we are catching just as many bass on artificial baits some days. Many of the Okeechobee Bass have spawned while others are just starting the spawning ritual which is the best of both worlds. The fish that are spawning are in the shallow water fanning beds whilke the ones that have already spawned are feeding heavily on shiners and shad fattening up after expending tremendous energy spawning. Bass, blue gill and Shell cracker are all on the table this month all of the species are in the shallow water marsh areas looking to spawn, making them accessible to savvy anglers
